Growing Your Community Impact

The church of the future will not stay inside the building. It may not even have a building of its own. The church of the future will be an integral part of the community in which it lives, moves and has its being. Parish will take on new meaning and ministry will be flexible, responsive and creative, focused on mission, local and global. It will require of us not so much an invitation “in”, but a an outreach that models Jesus’ ministry. Discipleship in its purest form.
What will this look like, practically speaking?

The Rev. Dr. Claire W. Bamberg, LMFT, PCC will be our presenter. She will make available resources for establishing and evaluating Community Impact through creative networking. The design she will present is intended to help those who use it to develop initiatives that respond to deep needs, and in doing so, create programs rooted in the wider community. The goal here? To do our jobs so well, we work ourselves out of being “the one” to keep it going. Come ready to share ideas, listen well, work collaboratively and leave energized. This is the kind of Vitality initiative that will benefit from multiple leaders from any given congregation taking part in the day. There will be some small group work.

Come, join in the fun. This good, challenging work will yield, for your congregation, a real opportunity to go back and enter into the creation of a new initiative.

Event Fee: $25 per person or $100 for five (5) people from the same church (you must register all five (5) at the same time). If you are registering five (5) people from one church, please add the promo code: FIVE4TWENTY in the promo code box prior to adding additional participants. This will add the discount at the end of your registration.

To attend Vitality Day, you must register. If you plan to eat lunch with us, please enter the appropriate quantity during registration.

To register multiple people, please register the first person and then click on "Add" under "Participant Information" to enter the next registrant. A total of five (5) people can register at one time.

Credit or Debit card payments are accepted through the safe & secure Paypal option (you do not need a Paypal account to proceed with payment) or checks mailed in advance of the event can be made payable to the Michigan Conference UCC. If paying by check, please plan to mail payment within 1 to 2 business days of registering. The final day to register is March 1st before 4 PM; we must report our numbers to the caterer.
